COVID-19 RESPONSIVE GRANT

Eligibility: Any family whose child has been diagnosed with Aicardi Syndrome and has experienced adverse effects from the COVID-19 pandemic is eligible to apply. Applicant(s) DO NOT need to meet financial eligibility guidelines. The grant funds must be used for the direct benefit of the affected child. Request Maximum: $500

Grants are reviewed on a rolling basis and applicants will receive a response within 4 weeks after submission.

 

MAIN GRANT PROGRAM
Eligibility: Any family whose child has been diagnosed with Aicardi Syndrome is eligible to apply. Applicant(s) must meet Financial Eligibility Guidelines and the grant funds must be used for the direct benefit of the affected child. Families whose requests are awarded will be ineligible to reapply for three years. Request Maximum: $2,000. Applications will be reviewed three times per year. The next deadline is January 29, 2021. 

 

Examples of How Funds Could Be Used: Examples of how families could use these grants include, but are not limited to: purchase of specialized equipment (including wheelchair accessible vehicles), home accessibility modifications, therapeutic services, respite, travel to/from the Aicardi Syndrome Family Conference, etc. When the maximum grant award is unable to completely cover the costs of these items, it may be put toward the family’s out-of-pocket costs after insurance has paid its share, or combined with individual fundraising or other grants to meet the proposed need.
